I like this couple a lot; disregard that once I called Emily, Kelly. It was in an email, after their wedding and I blame batch work.

I like this couple because they allowed me into their lives, virtually into their living room, once a month until their big day was prepped, planned and executed.

I like this couple because they like each other - actually they LOVE each other and it shows in their wedding photos, particularly the ones where Emily is laughing (which is often). Another couple I’ve had comes to mind, Hannah and RJ, and Hannah’s joy was evident in every photo.

In these modern days it is no longer assumed that the bride will adopt her spouse’s last name. And when there are two brides, whose name do you pick? Olivia and Emily decided to pick their own last name, crafting one with significance and revealing it with plenty of gusto! Ladies and gentlemen…

Life does not stop and wait for you to get married, you still will go on trips and have hockey and refinish your hardwood floors - embrace the busy (and hire a planner to help you stay on track)
If you don’t normally wear heels, don’t wear heels for your wedding
A good DJ will keep your dance floor packed all night long
It’s okay to say your vows before your ceremony, privately
Sometimes you don’t need to eat the (bundt) cake, you can just smash it in your wife’s face
