Mandy and Curtis weren’t so sure about needing a day of coordinator, they even told me so. Totally not offended because I get it, if you’ve never been married there’s really no way to know what you will or will not need.

And of course I’m going to encourage hiring a day of coordinator.

But a lot of other people will also encourage you to hire a day of coordinator. Your photographer will agree, your caterer, the DJ and your florist. They all want to have a person to coordinate with and confirm details to.

Their day couldn’t have been more perfect. Great weather but a really gorgeous wedding and stunning wedding guests. Alice capture mind blowing images of Mandy and Curtis separate but also together and I’m having a hard time not feeling the itch to get portraits myself!

Waiting to get married is never a bad idea, there’s no rush
Having extra tongs and spoons is always a good idea for your candy bar
If your wedding venue doesn’t have early access, get ready off site and get dressed when you arrive
Timeline buffers can really save the day and ensure that you don’t feel stressed when your groom takes extra time to get ready
When you have extra ceremony chairs, guests spread out
Gorilla glue tape is not as fantastic as you want it to be
