Eloise loves Marvin. And vice versa, times a million. I love the coincidences that happen when I meet my clients. Like the fact that my husband and I were about to vacation to Tennessee - the place they call home. Or that Marvin's brother, Abner, has recently married and will settle in Seattle (my home town).
That's not even mentioning the part about how they love each other, the amount of inside jokes they have, the way they call each other an endless amount of nicknames, and finish one another's sentences.
And their Nicollet Island Pavilion summer wedding was all that and more. Tears, happy tears. Laughter, gut wrenching, throw your head back laughter. Joy, the kind that spreads contagiously.

I love that they had hot sauce as favors, a simply decorated arch with a floral wreath, and bold punches of color. OH and did I mention that they had a dry wedding and they did the wedding processional from The Office. TEE HEE.
6 THINGS WE CAN LEARN FROM ELOISE + MARVIN:
Having an expert at your rehearsal can make it feel like not a hot mess.
Getting ready close to your venue helps to oversee the set up process.
Picking a bridal party that complements your personalities can make your processional rock.
Serving food stations-style is more exciting than it sounds.
If you don't want someone to do something, tell your day of coordinator so you don't have to be the bad guy.
If you're mom wants to sing, let her sing.

What you get with Josey: a wedding coordinator veteran who will make sure that everything runs smoothly. She can act as a sounding board, help you with decision making, and alleviate a lot of the stress you feel about the big day. Could not have had a more wonderful experience working with Josey!
I found Josey through a recommended vendors from our venue--I initially didn't think we needed a day-of coordinator, but after our venue required one, I sought out someone who best fit mine and my now-husband's personalities + our overall vision for the day. After meeting Josey, I just knew that she would be perfect for the job. She was SUPER organized, bubbly, down to earth, genuinely interested in making sure our day was perfect, and as a bonus she looked just like my maid of honor. Ha! It was a sign. It's a shame we're only getting married once because I'd love to spend more time with her. She was super easy to work with during the entire process and was always quick to answer an email no matter how dumb my question seemed. I wanted our day to be seamless and relaxed, and a day for our families (and us, of course!) to enjoy without worrying about logistics and all the "behind the scenes" stuff. I am so relieved we ended up having a coordinator, especially Josey and her team, because our day was simply perfect. I would recommend her to anyone, she is as good as they get.
What we really appreciated about working with Josey is that she helped us plan our wedding on our own terms. She gave us a ton of tools and advice and feedback, but ultimately did not pressure us on anything. Instead, she helped us make decisions by listening to our ideas and writing them down as if they had been decided - which was perfect for us because we would have agonized over decisions right up until the last minute.
Josey single handedly changed Hannah’s mind about day-of coordinators. Our wedding would not have been possible, let alone as beautiful and fun and joyful as it was, without her guidance and support. She kept us grounded through the process, and we always left our meetings with her feeling calm and ready for the next steps. Josey coordinated our wedding on August 25 and we had a fantastic experience working with her. Leading up to the wedding, Josey maintained a great amount of contact and communication by reaching out frequently enough to keep us comfortable that we were all on track with planning. She’s also very quick with recommendations and responses to our questions—even at the height of wedding season. I didn’t realize how valuable having a good day-of coordinator would be until the wedding day actually arrived! Josey made the day so much better. She anticipated things that we never would have considered and stayed on top of a huge number of details (everything from vendors, timelines, and layout to tricky social dynamics and my very particular demands about music transitions and media presentations). Most of all, Josey’s cheerful, smiling confidence was super reassuring—you can tell she knows what she’s doing and has everything well-in-hand so that you can relax and enjoy the wedding day. Josey is the BEST EVER!!! I knew we had to work with her from our first meeting! She is so fun and perky and you will be instant friends. Trust me. She really does it all and has your back the whole entire planning process, even if you only need a day-of coordinator. The planning tools she uses are great and it's really easy to use to track your planning progress. She will make sure you are taken care of! We met several times during the planning progress and on the day of she ran the whole show like the pro she is. Did I also mention she is just full of knowledge and information about all things wedding? The woman has a podcast!!! And a blog too! She covers all the essential topics in wedding planning is so fun to listen to! She is the best :)
