This wedding was particularly special for me because it not only included a lovely couple, but 3 former clients: Hannah (with Surdyk’s catering) and Ned and Ryan (bridesman and officiant). I really enjoy working weddings, but it’s even more fun to work weddings with people who’ve already wedded.
Over the years my wedding packages have slowly evolved.
They’ve changed to cater to the needs of my clients, but also my own needs. Besides needing to be well informed for your wedding day, I need you to have a well planned day. This means, more and more, working with wedding vendors who are great (not just good) at their jobs. This has led me to create wedding packages that include monthly meetings where I can suggest and support those vendors. While I still avoid becoming a personal assistant for my clients, I do really enjoy meeting regularly to help you accomplish you wedding day dreams, and keep your headspace clear during the process.
6 THINGS WE CAN LEARN from anna + chris:
When you are busy with life, planning your wedding can easily be done through monthly meetings (and the checklist will be your best friend)
If you have a change in life circumstances, go ahead and do the courthouse marriage
If you are going to live in Minnesota, Bloomington is an excellent choice
When you hood meters in the city, be aware that someone could poach those spots - be calm and call the authorities
You do NOT need to have a formal dinner, people will enjoy themselves whether they are assigned a seat or not, this applies even if there are not enough chairs for everyone
If you are going to wear a vintage dress, do it, but hire an excellent tailor so it fits you like a glove
