Silverwood Park Where Mike Weds Cat
There are some couples who speak directly to my soul. Mike and Cat are that kind of couple. I knew it was a good sign when Mike and his mother-in-law showed up to the consultation, and actually they spearheaded the in-person planning portion.
Love it when groom’s are involved.
We had the kind of meetings where I feel like I am really being of benefit, and then when the wedding day shows up my cup brims over with pride because the couple had implemented and planned so much more than they share, but they did it well.
Like having their programs printed on plantable paper. Yes, I did plant mine (and let’s be honest several of the other ones left behind).
Like having a cooler full of water since the sun decided to shine and give Memorial Day weekend an 100 + degree weather.
Like incorporating their guests in the creative seating, unique guestbook, guest favors that doubled as place cards and drinkware.
See for yourself how Mike and Cat got it right.
6 THINGS WE CAN LEARN
Wearing a wool suit is risky business, you, gentlemen, will likely not get as cold as a wool suit warrants.
If you wear glasses regularly, wear glasses on your wedding day, I’ll pin the shit out of those photos so that the world is more 4-eyes-friendly.
Having a friend officiate, is 9 times out of 10 a GREAT idea.
If you’re religious, don’t be afraid to have a ceremony in the church (small) and a ceremony before your reception (large).
When opting for non-numbers table labels, make sure you include a labeled map.
Getting goofy with your bridal party pictures will pay off.
